The seaside at Alba Adriatica is perfect for anyone who seeks calmness in the gentle undulation of the waves as they produce their way from the horizon to the shore. The water here is said to be the clearest in the Adriatic. The beach at Alba Adriatica is among the most attractive on the Abruzzo coast -- a stretch of silvery sand and a calm, blue sea. Alba Adriatica is located at an altitude of 5 m a.s.l. Distance from Teramo, the main town of the Province, is 37 km. In terms of entertainment, Alba Adriatica is considered very much the rising star of the Adriatic coast, since it is a relatively new resort with an array of facilities. These include enormous open-air night clubs with fountains and swimming pools, as well as small-scale club-pubs and the beach-front establishments that in the evening are transformed into clubs.

The sea in Alba Adriatica is ideal for those who want gently shelving seabeds and clear water that is among the clearest in the Adriatic sea. There are also plenty of opportunities for those who are fond of water sports such as sailing and windsurfing. The beach of Alba Adriatica is among the most beautiful along Abruzzo’s coast. Graced with silver-white sand, it is up to one hundred meters wide and three kilometers long.

You pay for the hotel stay in Alba Adriatica only at the check-out time by cash, travel checks or any credit card. You can check your reservation status or cancel the reservation by the link provided in the confirmation letter that we send to your e-mail address. This part of Italy has developed one such tourist vocation to make it to become one of the more important destinations of Abruzzi. Beyond to the tourism, important fields for the economy are the building, the handicraft -- in the comparti of you weave them and apparel -, the commerce and the coastal peach. Abruzzo’s more populous east is made up of vast sandy beaches that stretch along the Adriatic; its west of hills that rise quickly to mountains. The mountainous region of l’Aquila, which lies nearest Rome, contains castles, ancient ruins and spectacular mountain vistas.

Alba Adriatica

Alba Adriatica has a lot to offer all visitors to the area. The picture is in the central area of Alba Adriatica, in a peaceful place at 3 minutes walk from the beach and the sea. Close by there are bars, restaurants and shopping centres for any kind of needs.

This Adriatic coast hotel has an inviting open-air swimming pool with Jacuzzi and table-tennis tables. The beach at Alba Adriatica is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful anywhere along the Adriatic coast. The silvery white sands are 100 meters wide and stretch for almost 3 kilometers. From the different airports you can reach Alba Adriatica conveniently by train (from all Italian cities), bus, taxi, or rented a car. The railway station is about 5 minutes by walk.

Alba Adriatica

Alba Adriatica is called Silver Beach due to its 3km of very fine sandy beaches. It has a blue flag of Europe and is one of the most well-known and established resorts in the Abruzzo region. Since its beginning Alba Adriatica showed a particular interest for tourism as a concrete help to its development. From our room here, a large garden overlooks the Adriatic sea like a terrace with a view. Here, among olive trees, guests can relax, lying under the gazebo next to the swimming pool or playing table tennis. Come along!

Fossacesia is a nice town on the hills that has all the main services such as bars, restaurants, shops, post office, bank. It’s very close to the main city of Lanciano and the property is just 4 minutes drive from one of the most beautiful beaches of Abruzzo. For this reason, Fossacesia is one of the members, since several years, of national associations such as Wine Cities. But if sparsely populated, Abruzzo is neither remote nor barren. There are good air and road communications, and you are within easy reach of the motorway network. The region is divided into four provinces: L’Aquila (the largest), Teramo, Chieti (the most populous) and Pescara , Abruzzo’s main economic centre.

The four provinces are further divided into 305 municipalities. The medieval castle was built there to protect its population. The surrounding, expansive vineyards near Campomarino suggest a visit to its wine cellar in order to appreciate the qualities of the Biferno’s DOC wines.

Abruzzo’s 129 km long sandy coastline (interrupted in places by pebble beaches) is home to many popular beach resorts. Beaches of Abruzzo are pristine and the waters of the Adriatic are warm. While growing grapes is becoming less popular growing olives seems to be everybody’s pass time in Abruzzo. If people are not at work, they are in the fields picking olives in November. The most popular places for kite flying and paragliders are the Gran Sasso massif and the Sirente-Velino. We can set up an appointment for those that are game.

The population of Fossacesia (6.046 inhabitants) triples during summer, notably thanks to several tourists which choose to enjoy the beautiful Trabocchi Coast. The shore line is rich in vegetation, sandy beaches and bays covered with scented ginestra flowers, and dominated by the Trabocchi, ancient wooden buildings used by local fishermen, which was celebrated by D?Annunzio (who was born in Abruzzo) and today protected by regional laws and considered cultural assets. Population on 1991: 4.843 inhabitants -- Population on 2001: 5.349 inhabitants. Percentual variation: 10,45%. It is popular among climbers and mountaineers. You can start by visiting the Cavallone cave which is located in a valley near Lama Dei Peligni. Take a look at this video showing the cave and surrounding mountains.

For the ones that like shopping, Pescara is the best, for the ones that like music, Lanciano has a very intesesting summer programm. It is a nice and inviting house for a very quitet vacation. However, the Engineers, as they seemingly always did, overcame all obstacles, and carried on with their tasks at hand. Zio gave us the use of a small car and the we proceeded to the Marina at Fossacesia where the Mennas were waiting for us.

Mountain’s trekking at 1 car-hour. Touristic harbour at 5 minutes. Just 10km from Majella National Park, 25km from the ski resort, 25km from Chieti, 30km from the beach, 35km from Pescara airport.

The “sette sorelle” (seven sisters), seven seaside resorts in the province of Teramo, from Martinsicuro to Silvi , the Pescara and the Francavilla al Mare beaches, offer high level accomodation, night-clubs, and in Pescara itself, even a modern marina. To the south the scenery changes radically: from Ortona to Vasto and as far as San Salvo, sloping shores surrounded by the rich Mediterranean vegetation appear on the coastline. The coast south of Pescara is less developed than the northern stretch; the long ribbon of sand continues, followed by the train line and punctuated with mostly small resorts.
