One thing you should be aware of when travelling to Zanzibar is that 99% of the beaches disappear under the water at high tide. This becomes very relevant when choosing your preferred accommodation since for an isolated location (as is the case in Ras . The lounge/bar is comfortably furnished with plenty of sofas and a littering of brightly coloured Zanzibari cushions. Having walked through this, then you pass through into the dining area. It is very hot in Zanzibar, and often hot water is not a prerequisite, however if you like that little bit of warmth in your water, then the Type A rooms would definitely be better.
