Sitting between rugged desert mountains and the blue waters of the Gulf of Oman, this city of contrasts features walled castles, domed mosques, minarets and forts as well as modern buildings and luxury hotels. Explore the historic forts of Jalali and Mirani or the fascinating old port area that is home to the Sultan’s main palace. The guide to hotels and accommodation in muscat provides a brief summary, customer ratings and reviews for hotels and accommodation. Leisure is a way of life at this luxury Muscat hotel. The Club Olympus at Grand Hyatt Muscat Hotel offers a swimming pool, fitness facility, tennis / squash courts, steam room and body / facial treatments, amongst other leisure facilities. Once you submit your reservation form and payment details to your chosen booking site they will contact the hotel to confirm your reservation. If the hotel confirms your reservation request, your credit card will be charged and you will receive a confirmation email. The hotel has 180 colourfully designed, luxury guest rooms with in room up to date facilities so guests can relax and enjoy fully their surroundings. Set in landscaped gardens and nestled on the edge of a private bay with 500 metres of private beach, this resort comprises three separate and distinct hotels; Al Waha, Al Bandar and Al Husn.

Once a , Qurum has a beautiful beach and is popular with partygoers. The Crowne Plaza Hotel is perched on a cliff here, so you can get some spectacular sea views. When the tide is low, one can take a 4km walk towards the Embassies’ area in Shati Al Qurum. Approximately half way along this stretch of beach is the Muscat InterContinental hotel. You can also go shopping in the souq or in the Qurum.

Qurum has a beautiful park with some theme rides in it - a great place for the kids. There is also an amphitheatre, which showcases big stars bringing shows for music and film lovers, and sometimes, even quiz shows for the geek in us. Qurum National Park is the largest park in Muscat and it contains a artificial waterfall, a lake and a small amusement park for children. Trekking around Muscat is the best way to explore the spectacular mountains surrounding the city. At the Qurum beach entrance barbecuing is allowed on the beach.

The Qurum Beach is surrounded by some beautiful palm trees and offers charming picnic spots for the visitors. The Bandar Al-Jissah is a very isolated bay surrounded by steep rocks. Try Bandar Jissah , which tends to be quieter than the more easily accessible Marjan and Qurum . At Qurum beach , when the tide is out, walk away from the hotel area for more solitude. Similarly, there are loads of places to stay from the Al Bustan down, but perhaps the best placed and good value hotel is the psychedelically decorated Qurum Beach . Again, it’s in the guidebooks, but it really has to be seen - and stayed in - to be believed.
