Of the 23 miles of beach, 16 miles allow driving and parking during the day and when the tide permits. Simply pack a lawn chair or blanket and cruise over to Daytona, park within feet of the water and deploy your lawn chair, sandals and - all while declaring this a sun and surf lovers paradise. There is plenty of free parking in the area, but lots close to the beach fill up fast. If you can’t find a spot, head west of the beach a block or two, where you’ll find plenty more spaces within walking distance. This exclusive development of hotels, restaurants and shops boasts its own Caribbean-themed water park. There are very few access points that have off-beach parking. The Ponce Inlet lighthouse station is also a prominent feature of the park that you won’t want to miss . But really, the focus is on the beach and the jetty.

There are hotels in every price range, and many have fantastic oceanfront views. Florida hotels and Florida resorts line its shores, with accommodations ranging from luxurious to homey. Off the beach, chain hotels and motels provide more affordable lodging for those on a budget. The hotel’s palm-tree-lined outdoor pool and sundeck overlook the beach. Guestrooms are decorated in tropical hues and feature cable television.
