Of the 23 miles of beach, 16 miles allow driving and parking during the day and when the tide permits. Simply pack a lawn chair or blanket and cruise over to Daytona, park within feet of the water and deploy your lawn chair, sandals and suntan lotion - all while declaring this a sun and surf lovers paradise. There is plenty of free parking in the area, but lots close to the beach fill up fast. If you can’t find a spot, head west of the beach a block or two, where you’ll find plenty more spaces within walking distance. It wouldn’t be right if we didn’t recommend a few Daytona Beach Hotels. Especially during Spring Break, getting a hotel room in Daytona Beach can be almost impossible. However, if you do get a room, the rates are fairly affordable. But know that most Daytona Beach hotels carry a minimum-stay requirement.
