Nudity is common here and other St Tropez beaches, although nudists need to cover up if they want to relax at a beachside venue. Lovely villa on three floors with living space of approximately 372m, sea views, in a quiet location and close to St Tropez beaches. Ground floor : Entrance hall with guest cloakroom, both living room with fireplace and dining room leading onto covered terrace, separate fitted kitchen, bedroom with en-suite shower-room, dressing room and WC.
Just around the corner are two charming sandy beaches. If shopping for luxury items is your thing, all the major French and Italian designers have boutiques in St Tropez. The long sandy beach is easily accessible. Large car park (extra) at the entrance to the resort (300 m from the centre), as no cars are allowed into the resort. The sand beaches of Gigaro with many beautiful views and walks along the Littoral and onto Cap Lardier are a short stroll away. Cap Lardier is a conservation area, has natural fauna and flora with small coves, umbrella pines, fine sands and some naturist beaches.
Yet it also provides a base to explore a swathe of fine sandy coast, framed by basalt cliffs and dotted with creeks and rocky islets. The Canal du Midi and the river Herault meet the sea here and this corner of France lays claim to a glorious average of 267 days of sunshine a year. We brought a lot of sand back from the beach everyday and the cleaning staff did a great job getting rid of it. Iris, at the front desk, was very nice and helpful. This strip of beach, which has luxurious golden sand, is also the place to go if you want to sunbath topless or in the buff.
Tropez you will find long stretches of sandy beach, as well as St-Tropez’s sparkling waterfront and many unique shops, cafe The narrow streets are a maze of pastel-coloured buildings sprinkled with shuttered windows. This sandy beach is quite secluded, does not become too crowded, and is free for anybody to use if you’re prepared to walk there. Grab a drink in one of the harbourside cafes and watch the very rich and the very beautiful promenade past the plane trees and the sparkling sand. Eat a baguette, sip a cafe and pinch yourself - this is real life, for some.
It’s bigger than St Tropez but still has a town, rather than city feel, and has a great combination of sun, sea, sand, boats, shopping and qualint old town. It’s cheaper than Monte Carlo and a bit more “balanced” (a drink costs 10 instead of 20m, haha). As an aside, it is also known for topless sunbathing on golden colored sand on the extreme northern side of Pampelonne. Plage de Tahiti is a fashionable less chaotic hangout and to emphasize once again, the cooking at Tahiti Beach on Pampelonne is still excellent as is the rose wine. Saint Tropez is also home to wonderfully sandy beaches and many of the best are located along the coast in the Baie de Pampelonne. These beautiful beaches usually have their own beach hut, as well as private or public tanning areas.
