This 26 km long beach is just 15 minutes drive from the airport and is the favorite beach of amongst all the northern Beaches. Trinity Beach is a small township with its own distinctive characters and charm. If you think the environment of the Durras North area is beautiful, that’s only half the story. The marine environment here is just as spectacular! For Ozbeachfront.com, the Eurobodalla region includes about 100 km of spectacular coastline beaches, bays, coves and rocky headlands from Durras and Batemans Bay in the north, to Narooma in the south. The Eurobodalla Region is renowned for its long, secluded beaches and a variety of river, estuarine, lagoon, lake, embayment and ocean waterways throughout the region.

They both enjoy attractive beaches and access to Lake Durras can be made from North Durras. Accommodation is available in cottages, camping and caravan parks or you can rent one of several holiday houses. Follow it to North Durras and then turn right into gravel-laden Lake Road (clearly signposted) and continue down to the car park where the trail commences. In Compartment 092 on the northern shore of Durras Lake and in the Crown Land opposite, vehicles have cut deep ruts into access roads to the Lake. At several points boats have been launched from makeshift ramps resulting in severe bank erosion.

On hot days, the kangaroos at Pebbly Beach and Durras North bound along the beach to take a cooling dip in the surf. To make sure the kangaroos stay healthy, do not feed them. The Resort is just a 3.5 hour drive south from Sydney, 2 hours east of Canberra and a 30 minute drive north from Moruya Airport. Batemans Bay is only 15 minutes drive from the Resort and with a population of 16,000 people it is one of the largest towns on the South Coast. There are also roads to the small towns of Depot Beach and North Durras which is at the entrance to Durras Lake. Many of the roads are unpaved or have unpaved sections.

Proceed to the northern end of this beach, cross over a small rocky headland and you are on Little Diggers Beach. Cronulla beach is one of the best known surfing beaches in Austrailia, likewise Manly beach which is a little to the north of Sydney. Manly is found to the north of Sydney and has long been a popular holiday resort type place. Lakesea is about 2 hours by car from Canberra, 4 hours from Sydney, south via the Princes Highway and 10km north of Batemans Bay.

Lakesea’s border is only metres from fabulous Durras Beach, rated by many as the best on the coast and Durras Lake, assessed as the most pristine coastal lake in NSW. Lakesea’s location offers an endless selection of activites or a perfect place to sit back and unwind. Durras Lake is an estuary protected by winds with plenty of places to camp while you enjoy the sunshine on the water. Durras Lake is a popular area for people who enjoy swimming and canoeing. The beach and lake are around a 6 minute walk away whilst excellent bushwalks start just a few metres from the camping ground.
