Broulee Beach is very popular for its great surf and wide expanse of golden sand. Broulee Beach is well protected and the sand dips gradually, which makes it a family favourite. To the north, there are several small and secluded coves with fine beaches. At the northern end of North Broulee beach is Candlagan Creek a beautiful lagoon with calm water and natural play pools for kids. Broulee gives you a choice of two beaches, divided by Broulee Island. The island is connected to the main land and provides a pleasant trail to walk upon. At that time the mainland was joined by a sand spit to what is now Broulee Island.

In 1873 the vegetation was removed from the spit to widen the track to the promontory but, as a result, the root systems which bound the sand together were destroyed. It’s a LONG walk with scuba gear down the beach and you can swim out to the island - I’ve never scuba dived all the way around, I think it would be too far. The northern part of the island is a great spot for weedies and has really nice sponge gardens.

The green segments represent Broulee Headland, Broulee Island, the local ranges as well as the flora of the surrounding Eurobodalla region. There are a number of beaches in easy walking distance including sheltered beaches on Broulee Island. Fishing is popular off the rocks and beach.

To the south of the island is a patrolled (in summer) beach, Bengello Beach, that extends to the mouth of the Moruya River. Nearby South Head is a trendy holiday centre with beaches, lookout, surf club and general store and the settlements of Congo and Bingi with small clusters of homes near the beach.

Sip champagne in your private double spa, relax by the wood fire, stroll the walking trails at The Bower, or discover the many natural tourist attractions of the Eurobodalla Nature Coast. Thank you for creating such a beautiful, idyllic getaway. One of the other bedrooms also has a double bed and the third bedroom a bunk bed which can sleep up to three people. The second bathroom has shower, toilet and basin.

Batemans Bay is only a 15-minute drive away and, with a population of over 15,000 people, it is one of the largest towns on the South Coast. It offers shopping plazas, cafes, clubs, major retail outlets and specialty shops in the town centre. Bondi Beach is the largest of Sydney’s southern beaches and is easily accessible from the city itself. Coogee is not as big as Bondi Beach, but it is a pretty beach that is also good for swimming, and has several restaurants and hotels along the ocean-front.
