Excellent shopping, dining, and entertainment are just steps away, yet the Flamingo lies tucked away on a residential street where you can quietly relax after a long day of exploring the island.
An Occidental Allegro resort offering a multitude of activities to suit any traveler and encourages guest participation. Only a five minute boat ride away from the Palancar Reef, this resort is a great diving destination. The resort offers not only alcoholic beverages, but a variety of fruity thirst-quenching non-alcoholic drinks. My husband and I visited some other resorts while we were in the area, and I can truly say I feel that El Cozumeleno is superior to any other place I’ve seen. Direct access to the beach, which offers over a kilometer of fine sand and crystal-clear water.
Centuries ago, this location provided access to fishing boats for the Mayan culture. Trade was an essential living for the Mayans and this was a primary route. Located just 10 kilometers south of San Miguel, this park charges a modest entry fee but is well worth a visit. The park is open from 7 a.m. The best beaches are located on the southern west coast where most of the all inclusive hotels are located. There are also several beach clubs that are open to the public.
We fell in love with Cozumel the first time we visited. Our favorite reason to visit Cozumel are the wonderful beach access. The south end of the island features white sand and gentle waves.
