Imagine. You will NOT clear customs in Barbados, but will proceed to the inter-island flight desk where you will be met and assisted by a representative from Palm Island. Upon arrival onto Palm Island, you will be transferred to/from the airport to the resort. There’s something here for everyone from sailing and dolphin-watching, to hiking the nature trails and swimming in waterfalls. You can climb to the top of a volcano, or explore the fascinating underwater gardens surrounding this pristine archipelago. Gourmet meals are served in an open-air dining room and refreshing drinks await you at the Sunset Bar or by the pool.
Surrounded by five white-sand beaches, this private island is sometimes called “Prune,” so we can easily understand the more appealing name change. This little islet offers complete peace and quiet with plenty of sea, sand, sun, and sailing. We were met at Union island and transported to a boat which took us to Palm Island without delay. At Palm Island we were met with a cocktail.
Over half of the 37 guest rooms sit right on the breathtaking white sand beach that fronts the resort, the remaining set in the palm-dotted gardens just a few steps from the sands. Recreational facilities include a landscaped swimming pool, non-motorized water sports, a fitness room, daytime tennis court and massage room. Palm Island is a private oasis of 130 acres and five beaches. Our rental properties listed below have every comfort, including maid service. To enjoy a perfect picnic in paradise, for a surcharge, you can order up a festive lunch and enjoy it in romantic seclusion on one of our five beaches. For your evening meal, romance is definitely on the menu.
Two are housed in a shared wooden building right on the beach and feature king-size beds, deep-soaking tubs, separate showers, private terraces and views over the ocean towards the Tobago Cays. The island is very small so the apartments are no more than 10 minutes easy walk away from the beach. Some are notched into the hills and bluffs to catch the breeze and savor the views, most are just steps from the beach. All the buildings are naturally air-conditioned with a combination of ceiling fans, louvered windows, cool terra cotta floors and the ocean breeze.
Some couples choose to have the ceremony performed on the gazebo overlooking the sea, while others prefer the powder soft white sand beach. The wedding and honeymoon packages are combined to give you the perfect Destination Wedding! With just 37 rooms, pristine beaches and natural surroundings, this island is ideal for anyone looking to slow down, recharge and rediscover the wonders of nature. Great care has been taken to ensure that the resort blends in with the untouched natural surroundings. Rattan-furnished rooms are in handsomely rustic bungalows, with minifridge, ceiling fan, and beachfront patio. Top-notch snorkeling, tennis, fitness trail, scuba; a sailing package provides private boat, crew optional.
Beachfront, approximately 320 square feet, These cottages are housed in ten separate buildings on the beach. Bedding: 1 king bed.
