Le Touquet is widely known as the most elegant holiday resort in the north of France, with many luxury hotels housing the rich and famous. The stunning beaches are the main attraction of the area, due to the white sand and clear blue waters of the sea, perfect for rest and relaxation. Unlike other beach resorts Le Touquet is open all year. A beautiful resort located in the north of France, Le Touquet is a destination that has become popular amongst the rich and famous over the years. This elegant and sophisticated destination boasts beauty, a vibrant and relaxing atmosphere, recreational opportunities aplenty, and fabulous places in which to relax and unwind.

Within an easy drive of either Boulogne or Calais, Le Touquet is definitely worth aiming for as a destination in itself, as we found out. Le Touquet is the perfect spot for a rendezvous with France’s stimulating and stylish north coast. A beach resort with a fashionable past behind it, Le Touquet’s well planned streets and bracing forest tracks offer everything from dunes to dressage? Chirac said later, “Le Touquet is symbolic of the friendship between the two countries.”

Just a couple of hours from London and offering a buzzing atmosphere, Le Touquet is certainly worth considering when buying a property. Prices of property for sale in Le Touquet are, however, very expensive and foreigners tend to buy a little further out on the edge of town. Le Touquet is elegant, light-hearted and revolves around pleasure. It is very much the destination for ‘Ladies that Lunch’.

It is also known as Paris-Plage, a beach resort for the Parisians. The town’s reputation was founded on its casinos, boutiques, championship golf courses, beautiful beaches and race track. Thirty years ago, a young Frenchman working for the small beach resort city of Le Touquet in northern France had a great idea. A passionate motorcycle rider, he wanted to race his friends on the city’s sandy beaches. It was developed as a resort in the late 19th century by Alphonse Daloz, who acquired the land in 1837, and was particularly fashionable in the 1920s and 1930s. The town is noted for its architectural variety.

A 4 stars hotel with green surroundings, only a little walk from the town center and casinos. You will be delighted by the modern architecture of the Holiday Inn Resort Le Touquet. The passage-ways are roofed with glass, showered by light and trimmed with flowers. Nestling amidst a forest of pine trees over a hundred years old, the resort of Le Touquet brings together all the charm of the Opal Coast. Here the sea air is all around, allowing visitors to benefit from its bracing effects every second of their stay.

  1. This has now become one of those places I just have to visit. As an avid beach goer I love visiting new spots. I’ve spent time all over the African coast and Madagascar is one spot I just have to return to.

  2. If anyone wants to stay in Le Touquet then we have a number of villas available for rent suitable for larger groups or families.
