Punta Cana beaches are a strip of spectacular sand from Cap Cana north to the mid section of the Dominican Republic. What makes them special is that the wide, open ocean - you have the Caribbean Sea and the Great Atlantic, and the clarity of the water here. There is a lot of rock just inland, so the water isn’t that turbid.
The Punta Cana beach area is wide and safe to swim off the shoreline all year long. The major problem is that all the beaches are for the guests of the all-inclusive hotels as once you are in the beach area all food and drinks are included in the package. The majestic coral reef breaks the waves offshore, keeping the Punta Cana beaches pristine and the surf gentle. Stunning Bavaro beach and most of its beachfront hotels are less than 30 minutes from Punta Cana International Airport.
There are so many variables that any list becomes skewed depending on the criteria. Tasty cuisine is often followed by a live performance or evening at the piano bar. Punta Cana’s magnificent coastline sets the stage for the resorts that cater beautifully to every vacation budget and agenda.
Regardless, there are bars in shopping areas (near hotel clusters) where you can meet the locals, mostly people who work in the area. If you will be staying in the area of Iberostar or Riu hotels, Disco Pach’s the place. These twin All-Inclusive resorts offer a splendid atmosphere of relaxation, comfort and enjoyment within a gorgeous 4-story mid-rise hotel complex. Enjoy sumptuous dining and courteous service at Iberostar’s 2 a la carte restaurants (Italian and Mexican), a buffet restaurant and a gourmet restaurant. We had a great stay and would definitely recommend this hotel. We found all of the staff very helpful (especially Manuel at reception!).
Start creating the ultimate Punta Cana vacation package by choosing your hotel now. The hotel gift shops and shopping arcades sell much the same wares, plus resort wear at slightly higher prices. For a cheap, authentic souvenir, duck into a grocery for aromatic Dominican-grown coffee . The amazing, lagoon-like pool area with whirlpool is situated amidst the tropical gardens of the hotel. The resort features four restaurants, four bars (including a swim-up), nightly entertainment, a water sports center and an exciting kids club.
Hotel is located in Playa Bavaro, right on a white sandy beach, 15 minutes drive away from Punta Cana airport. It overlooks a marvellous white sand beach and is surrounded by tropical vegetation, as well as being ideal for golf lovers thanks to its closeness to three golf courses in the region: Palma Real - Cocotal, Punta Cana Golf Club and Casa de Campo. The Hotel is air-conditioned in all rooms, main restaurant, pizzeria and discotheque. The remaining buildings are a large open-plan with generous ventilation and also ceiling fans.
Browse the charming shops and boutiques of the lovely Caribbean Street shopping village, where guests can explore a variety of shops in search of t-shirts and souvenirs, or enjoy a soothing massage on one of the outdoor massage tables. Enjoy sumptuous dining and courteous service, as well as nightly shows and Caribbean dances presented by the entertainment team. Those who want something different can try our great VIP package which includes massages, premium brand drinks, rooms service and much, much more.
