Florida’s Daytona Beach has definitively fallen out of the top spring break hot spots running and Panama City’s top dog billing will again get some serious encroachment from Miami, including South Beach, next year. Panama City is a sure bet for the kind of foolish fun that makes a break memorable (or not!), while South Beach is a tres cool club scene (are you really ready?) Secondly, it’s located in the South just under Alabama, so it has all of the Southern charm of a small city. The goal of the promoters of the Thunder Beach Rallies is to give the bikers a good old fashion bike rally without all of the hassles. But on the other coast, after a few days of sightseeing, map-wielding vacation in Los Angeles, your family may well be up for some old-fashioned relaxation in Redondo Beach, just 18 miles south of downtown L.A. Stay at the Luxe Hotel Sunset Boulevard, a just-renovated 7-acre estate in the Brentwood Hills, where the kids can swim or play tennis while the adults trot off to the spa.
Whether you are looking to dance, or enjoy a jazz or blues club there’s something for everyone on South Beach night life. Action starts around 11 at night and it goes until, well until it ends which could be any hour of the day or night. Now, located along the South Carolina coast, Myrtle Beach is great for those who take their beaches more seriously than their partying! Nightlife and traditional seashore amusements are still plentiful even if not spectacular.
South Beach Spring Break is popular among models, celebrities, and of course rock stars. For shopping, many people consider the Lincoln Road open-air pedestrian mall to be Miami South Beach?s premiere spot. South Padre Island, Texas is also another popular Spring Break destination among students from colleges in the south-central and midwestern parts of the country.
Student City offers a trip to South Padre, and there is a feature called Price Buster on their website that gives students the opportunity to compare prices from two sites. Student City will attempt to lower the price to “bust” the competition, if another company offers a better deal. When it is time for the annual South Beach spring break, you can imagine how much more goes on. As if the city didn’t have enough going on already, now you add thousands of college student going wild for a few weeks. The Gaslamp district can be reached by taking the I-5 south and getting off at any downtown exit. Parking is available in numerous parking garages for reasonable fees.
