Hanalei Bay Beach, Kauai Hawaii

Hanalei bay is known for many things to many of us who love Kauai. It’s scenic beauty, its azure blue water, its small pier jetting out into the Pacific, fantastic sunsets. Sailing HANALEI BAY is extremely comfortable, whether smoothly floating along on a gentle ocean breeze, or when the ideal winds accelerate the yacht to performance speeds (clocked at 15.5 knots). At your pleasure, try your hand at the helm. Hanalei bay is a special place for our families and we hope that after your stay, you will feel the same. The entire Hanalei Bay is ringed with a white sand beach. The surrounding mountains embrace this bay and, in the early morning when the ocean is like glass, it mirrors the beauty of the cliffs.

Turquoise waters of Hanalei Bay, Kauai

Hanalei Valley on the North side of Kauai is truly one of the most beautiful places on Earth. If you think of “Bali Hai” from the movie South Pacific you’re in the right zone because it was filmed there. By some virtue, Kauai has retained its rustic and relaxed appeal. Perhaps it is that Kauai, being the oldest in the chain of Hawaiian Islands, is the most stubborn and unwilling to change. Add to this an eclectic mix of people, excellent surf, stunning scenery, and a small dose of night life.In HANALEI youll find a very friendly family environment, making it one of the most desirable places to vacation on Kauai. This part of the island gets the perfect amount of rain and sunshine, making anything green very happy.

Turquoise waters at Haena Beach Park, Kauai

Ideally located, this is one of the few private retreats on Kauai where you can easily walk to meet your desires. The quaint Hawaiian Village of Hanalei town which features unique island shops and boutiques, grocery stores, including organic, a farmers’ market, and a variety of fine restaurants and entertainment is all within a 5 minute walk. This is a definite stop for anyone visiting Kauai. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Kauai and your beautiful condo. Of course, we didn’t get a chance to do everything we wanted to do, so we must come back again sometime.

Blue Bay Beach - Mauritius

Plage Blue Bay Beach, Mauritius
Mahebourg is a larger town in Mauritius and Blue Bay Beach is close. Because of this, Blue Bay Beach can get kind of crowded on weekends. But during the week, you may have this long beauty all to yourself - well, almost.

Plage Blue Bay Beach, MauritiusBlue Bay is named for the crystal-clear ice blue water. This is one of those beaches in the world where it is simply hard to get a bad picture. The contrasts are simply amazing.

To get the best shots, make sure your camera is set to “beach” or “sun” or “outdoors”. Best times are mid morning and late afternoon. You can sneak in a great shot at other times, as well. Just make sure you don’t position yourself where you’ll get too much glare.

Next, compose your shot with plenty of contrast. For beach shots here, it’s easy. Get about half sand and half sky. And make sure you get some great sky - with few clouds. The blues are amazing here (and at other beaches as well).

Blue Bay Beach is located on the southeast side of the main island and is very easily accessible. When in Mahebourg, just ask the directions to Blue Bay… and take the camera.
