Coogee Beach, Sydney, Australia

One of your best beach options while in Sydney is Coogee Beach, eight kilometers and only minutes from the central business district. A number of buses shuttle back and forth, so combine shopping and surfing for the perfect sunny Australian day. The nearby city of Ranswick has many restaurants, along with hostels and hotels. Ranswick is also home to the University of South Wales, and the Sydney Football Stadium.

With a wide swath of perfect white sand, Coogee Beach is only one of the many beaches on what’s now commonly referred to as “the Sports Coast”. With ample opportunity for sailing, snorkeling, and horseback riding, there are activities to be found for all. Body boarding is also a popular way to spend time enjoying the beautiful warm water.

Coogee Beach is also famous for its coastal walks. Clearly marked, each of the trails hugs the coastline, and the dramatic scenery provides for stunning pictures. The walks incorporate signs that share some of Coogee’s history. Even more impressive are the shipwrecks strewn along the beach, a testament to the tumultuous oceans habit of tossing ships around.

Nearby Botany Bay National Park offers even more opportunity for experiencing the unique natures scenes particular to this part of Australia. Botany Bay is also steeped in history, as it was one of the first sites visited by Captain James Cook. There is also a significant Aboriginal influence, with much evidence of their way of life before the European colonization.

There are also facilities for large groups of people, including picnic tables and barbecues. Kids will enjoy the playgrounds, with the ocean only steps away when it comes time to cool down. These convenient amenities make entertaining at Coogee Beach a great option for any special occasion.

Kapalua Beach Park, Maui Hawaii

Maui has over 33 miles of exquisite public beaches. Some of these beaches have jewel-toned sand, in such colors as red, gold, green, black and white. Ringed by 120 miles of coastline, Maui boasts over 30 miles of beaches. Many are easily accessible beach parks with lifeguards, picnic facilities and restrooms. For those who choose to hike there, it is often some of the best snorkeling in Maui. If you are really lucky you may even get to swim with dolphins. Kapalua is the prime luxury resort area of all Maui. Within the 1650-acre resort are some of Hawaii’s best golf (three championship courses including the Plantation Course, home to the Mercedes Open each January), white sand beaches, boutique shopping, restaurants, tennis, and recreation areas on the islands.

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fk1JNag2_hI

Snorkeling on Maui should not be missed. Maui has incredible snorkeling areas along several of its coastlines. Thank you so much for the use of your beautiful Maui condo. I don’t think that you can prepare anyone for the breathtaking view and the wonderful villa at Pineapple Hill. One of Maui’s best snorkel or scuba spots. Abundant marine life including many turtles. In finer restaurants around Maui County, several chefs are amenable to substituting certain side dishes in entrees or even preparing a low carb meal to order. You’ll find that luxury resorts are now including entire Low Carb sections on their restaurant menus. Panoramic sunset views and Up-close, spectacular views of Molokini, Maui’s half-moon crater island.

Blanketing the gently rolling hillside from the white sand beach of Kapalua Bay to the base of the West Maui Mountains are two high-end hotels, three of the finest golf courses on Maui, and beautiful upscale villa communities. Some Maui beaches have picnic tables and facilities, others are perfect for water sports. Hamoa Beach has sea cliffs and lush vegetation; the publc beach shares some facilities with the Hotel Hana Maui. Offshore is a littleisland with coconut trees.

Kapalua beach

In much of the beach, there wasn’t that much sand between the lawn area behind you and the water in front of you, which also altered the perception of it’s size. Still it’s a gorgeous stretch of sand as you can imagine by it’s popularity. The beach is long, wide and sandy and surrounded by ironwood trees that provide wonderful shade. Caution needs to be taken when swimming due to the steep slope of the beach that causes a backwash even during calm seas. Offshore a shallow sandbar extends out to the edge of the surf. Generally, the waters are good for swimming and snorkeling, but sometimes, off near the sea cliffs, the waves are big enough to suit body boarders and surfers.

KAPALUA BEACH

We can always move to a different spot on the beach that is just as nice. Lots of good waves, nice for boogie boarding or just swimming. There is a lifeguard at this beach, which is nice. DT Fleming Beach Park is one of Maui’s nicest beaches with good swimming in summer and pounding surf in winter. The nearby resort area of Kapalua offers upmarket resorts and some of the most challenging golf courses in Hawaii.

Honeymoon Beach, St. John USVI

Honeymoon Beach St John USVI

Honeymoon Beach is tranquility in paradise. This smaller, yet more spectacular beach offers you beautiful white sand and crystal clear waters. You can access the beach via the Lind Point Hiking Trail that connects Cruz Bay to Honeymoon and Caneel Bay.

Why is this beach so exclusive? We think it’s because it’s not accessible by car it is usually not crowded. The hiking tours, which are very popular on the island, make this beach a stopping point. Honeymoon Bay is also popular with charter boats from mid-morning to mid-afternoon.

And what about under the surface? You will find snorkeling best by the rocky headland that extends into the water between Salomon and Honeymoon Bay.

So remember - you can’t drive your SUV rental to this beach. You “can” access it by hiking a bit. The snorkeling is well worth the hike.

It’s also accessible by boat. You can hire a sailboat or catamaran to take you to any of these magnificent coves.

Remember to take the camera because the photos here do not do it justice. The views are simply breathtaking.

BEACH INDEX

  • Sand - fine white powder
  • Facilities - none
  • Shade - sea grape/palms
  • Sports - bring your own

Grand Baie Beach Mauritius

If you had a paint brush, pallet and enough time, you probably couldn’t paint a picture more pristine than the beaches of Mauritius. And often we get ask what are our favorite beaches in this area of the globe - undoubtedly there are many world class beaches from Zanzibar on out to the islands of Mauritius.

And the people who arrived here first - maybe they imagined the rest of the ocean held such treasures? It makes it hard to think about work when you see those lazy palms and that brilliant white sand. Can we simply lay out in the sun for a bit?

With Mont Choisy close by, Grand Baie is a small peninsula on the northeast coast of the island. Just like the once sleepy town of Buzios, near Rio in Brazil, Grand Baie was a fisherman’s village not too long ago. And they were the ones that enjoyed the beautiful beaches you’ll find here. I love contrasts, and Mauritius doesn’t let you down. You have the brilliant white sand of the beaches and the just gorgeous emerald waters of the ocean. Drop in a few lovely coconut trees and this just might be paradise. But it wasn’t always that way, here. Grand Baie was almost left without hope of development. The wise people of the Mauritian government changed all that and now Grand Baie is the jewel of the island.

Just about everything is here. Boutique shops and sales of local crafts make this an ideal place to come learn about Mauritian culture. But that’s not all. Development has included many hotels and resorts which range from elite to bungalows with kitchenettes. They’ve included a marina complete with water sports, and with the Black River Gorges National Park near by, you will have plenty to do if all you do is spend your vacation on this part of Mauritius.

Grand Baie still has fishing boats so when you visit the beach here, remember that you’ll be sharing it with them. Other beaches we’ve reviewed, Pereybere, Mont Choisy and Trou aux Biches do not have all the fishing boats. But the beach and water is simply breathtaking here. Shade is close by with the tall Casuarina trees which line almost the entire coastline. This beach will probably have fewer people in it because of the fishing boat situation. If that doesn’t bother you, you’re in for a wonderful day at the beach.

Sunset Boulevard comes into Grand Baie Beach and here you will find a few apartments and local eateries where you can hang out. It’s a real photo opportunity as the palms sway in the breeze and you can normally catch a small fishing boat in the view. Down toward the opposite end of the beach is a real fish market and at the right time of day you’ll see fishermen bringing in their catch.

Plage Grand Baie, MauritiusGrand Baie Beach is spectacular and has everything close to make coming here and enjoyable experience. The sand is soft, the water warm with light waves. The beach slopes gently so even small children can enjoy the water near shore. And if you get adventurous, you can walk quite a ways towards other nearby beaches. Take a camera and some water and you’re good for an experience you’ll never forget.

Final thought: It was here that in November of 1810 the British invaded Mauritius, called the Invasion of Ile de France.

Grand Case Beach St Martin, French West Indies

Grand Case beach club is located on 2 beautiful white sand beaches and within a short walk to fine dining in the village of grand case. The club offers the best accomodations and service. Grand Case Beach Club offers a wide variety of accommodations, all larger than standard hotel rooms and suites, in two and three story whitewashed buildings with red steel roofs. They all have either oceanfront or garden views, and colorful island motif fabrics that brighten the primarily white rooms, rattan furniture and tile floors. From your room at Grand Case Beach Club it’s only a couple of steps down to the beach, dotted with umbrellas for shade. The village of Grand Case, the ” Gourmet capital of the Caribbean ,” awaits you just down the beach.

Whether you want to relax, enjoy the beaches and fine dining just minutes away or shop, sightsee, party, golf and gamble, it’s either all here at Grand Case Beach in St. Martin, or it is just minutes away.

St Martin resort’s ideal location provides you with an intimate, serene oasis where the only noise is the lapping of the waves or the breeze through the coconut palms. The water of the Caribbean is generally tranquil and we are on two of the best swimming beaches of the island. The resort isn’t luxurious. You won’t find turndown service or a Godiva chocolate on your pillow; you won’t find Gilchrist and Soames shampoo or soap in the bathrooms. Every hotel, resort, b&b, and villa.

This is a very small resort with a very secluded beach. The room that we stayed in last year was a garden view studio which was ok since we are both mosquito prone we rarely enjoyed the view. Martin resort, rest and relaxation will take on a whole new meaning for you. Additionally, you’ll find duty-free shopping, world-class dining, casinos and great nightlife spots within a short drive of the resort.

Grand Case

We walked – only 10 minutes walking (with baby in a carrier/sling). We had initially considered renting a car to get groceries before arriving in St Martin. Most dive sites are within a 20 minute boat ride and wet-suits are definitely not necessary in these warm waters. The restaurants are just a few minutes walk on the beach and the lolo’s are delicious! Dining in is also great on the patio with a nice bottle of french wine.

French, Creole, and international cuisine with indoor and outdoor seating at the marina. Very cozy, small restaurant with excellent food at very moderate prices. They serve fine French food in the dining room and delicious tapas in the garden bar in the back. The garden stays open late and frequently has a band. This is a VERY charming hotel located on the french side in a secluded beach. The rooms have their own mini kitchens.

Many of the homes in the area on the main street and along the beach have been transformed into unique eateries where you will enjoy Caribbean, American, Asian, Italian, and French cuisines, and of course seafood. If you wish to partake of the actual foods of St Martin, you may prefer to visit a lolo, which is a barbeque shack that serves grilled lobsters, chicken, and spare ribs.

Anse Lazio, Praslin - Seychelles

Praslin is the second largest island in the Seychelles and the most popular with tourists. Why? Soft white sand beaches and crystal clear turquoise waters surround the small island.

The Best Beach in the Seychelles goes to Anse Lazio. Situated on the north west corner of Praslin in Bay Chevalier, it is a perfect crescent of soft, fine grained sand. The beach is relatively deep, from the fringe of Takamaka trees and palms to the waves of the warm Indian Ocean. To the right of the beach you’ll see the craggy deserted Pointe Chevalier. Bounded on the other side by the curve of the island, you feel secluded. This is why year after year Anse Lazio is voted “the best beach in the world” by numerous travel publications and newspapers.

The Cote d’Or, also known as Anse Volbert is the island’s main tourism center. Tourists come here to enjoy safe swimming and snorkeling. It is also possible to book an excursion to one of the neighboring islands of Aride, Curieuse and Cousine through the hotels. Excursions to Cousin are usually not permitted due to the nature reserve there.

Praslin, with a population of 6,500 people, is Seychelles’ second largest island. It lies 45 kilometers to the northeast of Mahé and measures 10 kilometers by 3.7 kilometers. Try to stay over the weekend because the free excursion to the private Island Grand Soeur is an unforgettable experience - go to the beach! These islands are distributed on the coast lands surrounding the Indian ocean and the existing islands within.

To get to Curieuse or the other nearby islands, you have to charter a boat, which is done through your hotel. Although a secluded setting, you can reach all the places that make Praslin Island so unique in less than an hour. Praslin is granitic in origin and mountainous. On any other island in the world the beaches would be crowded with hundreds of people. But here a beautiful beach is only second to one of the many world wonders on La Digue.

It is an absolute must for every guest on Praslin to visit the Vall’de Mai, a unique natural preserve in the Eastern part of the Island. Well-kept paths will lead you through a flora, untouched for millions of years.

Don’t miss this. Travelers make a special day trip to Praslin just to see it. The guide books talk it up as if it is the eighth wonder of the world.

Anse Lazio Praslin SeychellesDue to its north-west facing location, Anse Lazio is perfectly situated to experience the full force of a Seychelles sunset.

This is it - the top beach in the Seychelles: Anse Lazio on the isle of Praslin.

Angra dos Reis near Rio de Janeiro Brazil

A destination for both leisure and business, Blue Tree Park Angra Dos Reis is nestled in totally exclusive surroundings, and it is uniquely served by the region’s natural attractions, conveniences and services. Surrounded by the rainforest, the tropical rainforest, it enjoys the benefits of a charming strip of beach and clear, calm waters that remain ideal for nautical activities. While the town of Angra dos Reis is not particularly attractive itself, there’s numerous luxury hotels on the beaches nearby. Angra dos Reis is quite a glitzy area, busy during the peak tourism season, and popular with Brazilians who enjoy yachting. Just ten minutes of Angra dos Reis is the Arcobaleno Inn, which provides private and comfy accommodations right on the beach of Retiro. Enjoy the peacefulness and tranquility of wide-open spaces and the surrounding tropical forest.

Praia de Lopes Mendes - Ilha Grande

Praia de Lopes Mendes - Ilha Grande -
The beach is1,000 m long, with clear green lukewarm water, fine white sand. Paraty’s bay also encloses dozens of islands, beaches and abundant vegetation. You’ll have time to enjoy four beaches and a natural swimming pool - Caixa d’agua - Along the way, you will enjoy guided treks and pass through beautiful, natural mountain forests and glades.

The island, surrounded by 106 beaches, and bearing mountains and incredible waterfalls, is a perfect place for trekking and camping. Boat trips around the bay are available, some with a stop for lunch at beautiful islands. The most famous beach is Lopes Mendes, the first one on the south extreme facing the open sea. Good for sports like surfing and windsurfing. This bungalow beach resort was designed to afford the highest standard of comfort to its clients with a fantastic view over the sea. It is perfect for beach vacation.

The resort offers guests an exclusive cable car that takes them from the hotel to the beach or the marina. At the marina, you can rent a boat and visit marvelous islands such as Ilha Grande and Ilha da Gipoya, among others. With their own private beach, guests are able to reach some of the most stunning sites in the bay. The location and construction of the home were carefully planned to give guests 270-degree views of the ocean; on one side is a quiet knoll, and on the other the panoramic expanse of Angra dos Reis Bay.

If you don’t like hiking, take along a boat to the beach. There are only two cars on the island, and both belong to the police. Angra is where some of the most luxurious villas and the most beautiful beaches in the South American continent are found, both on the many private islands that scatter the Bay of Ilha Grande and on the mainland. It is the glamorous playground of the Brazilian elite. A private beach with crystal clear and calm waters just for you. Surrounded by the Ilha Grande State Park and wildlife, Ilha Grande Inn or Casas de Recifes is a great alternative to learn about the tropical nature and to relax far (but yet close) from the daily life of the cities.

Best Beaches of The Abacos, Bahamas

The Abacos are further north than the other Bahamian Islands, and Marsh Harbour is home base for most tourist operations among the islands. There are so many beaches it is hard to come up with a best of list. Most beaches are similar in that they are white sand and slope very gradually out to the ocean. This is due to the open sea and wave action they receive. Large portion of elkhorn coral abound in this area and snorkeling is a delight.

There is one place we believe will charm you here on Abacos - Elbow Cay. It’s a nice find. There are beautiful cottages right on the beach. Rent one for a week and see your gray hair go away. It’s an hour from Florida and only 20 minutes from Marsh Harbour on Great Abaco. Relaxation is a four and a half mile strip where Hope Town is located.

There are only a few hotels and restaurants here so the mode of transportation here, by the most part, is golf cart, bicycle, or by boat. Hey, remember the pace here is slow as molasses. Most like it that way. Most hotels here have no television. Can you handle that? If so, you’ll fall in love with Hope Town and surrounds. People first came here in the 18th century. Loyalists who fled the American Revolution.

If you’re looking for the best beaches on the Abacos, you’ll need some help. The major town on the Out Islands is Marsh Harbour, and yet it has some of the not so beautiful beaches. But, your lodging in Marsh Harbour will be able to tell you where to go.

Some will tell you to try the tiny beach at Abaco Beach Resort, but just remember, it’s private - so you’ll need to buy a drink at the bar, or be a guest. Nonetheless, you’ll not feel right - so let’s get on to the great beaches here.

You’ll need transportation. The best beaches actually lie about 15 to 20 minutes south of Marsh Harbour. Starting around Casuarina Point, southward, just take any of the eastward roads off the main highway. These all lead to the ocean. Once there, park anywhere along the shoreline and find your little piece of paradise. Enchanting!

Imagine white powder, turquoise waters, and you. Make it a day and know that at Casuarina Point and “points” in between, you can find some fine Bahamian cuisine. Make friends with the locals. You may be back! Besides, you’ve just found the best beaches on The Abacos!

The Abacos - BEACH INDEX:

  • Sand - soft white, medium grain, coral based.
  • Facilities - only at the hotels/restaurants along the way.
  • Shade - some coconut palms.
  • Sports - arrange dive and snorkel trips in Marsh Harbour.
  • Notes - no lifeguards, guard your belongings.

One last stop on Andros Island. The beaches there are worth a look. Next! >>

The pool at the Playa Linda

Rent one unit or both at this internationally rated 5 star resort. For more photos and information about Playa Linda, go to www.playalinda.com . Every hotel, resort, b&b, and villa. That is our goal. Set on one of the nicest sections of Eagle Beach, this lovely resort is constructed like a stepped Mayan pyramid. The design allows for maximum visibility from individual rooms and means that most balconies open to the sky.

We loved the resort and are now considering a purchase. One thing which does bother me though is that the entire “crowd” of people staying at the resort were very cliquish . Finding resorts on this site is easy! Just select a region from the map, the links below, or the drop-down menu to display a complete list of vacation areas. This fun-in-the-sun resort offers restaurants, bars, a shopping arcade, health club, whirlpools, tennis courts, ongoing activities, and warm Aruban hospitality. Each of the beautifully decorated and fully appointed vacation homes is spacious and exceptionally well-designed, with terraces overlooking the Caribbean Sea.

Flic en Flac Beach Mauritius

Flic-en-Flac beach is generally considered to be the most peaceful coastline on the island of Mauritius and offers some of the best snorkeling and diving sites around. It is situated on the west coast of the Island of Mauritius in the village of Flic-en-Flac and within five minutes walk from the public beach. The discovery of more regular surf spots around the world and the new sophisticated image of Mauritius have slowly killed its legend.

But despite the natural development of the region, Tamarin village is authentic; the houses and villas are almost the same and the people are as open and friendly than they were 40 years ago.

You’ll have an excellent holiday and will go back time and again to Mauritius.

Flic en Flac Beach Mauritius

All the private areas are owned by hotels and are regularly cleaned whereas the public beach is more untidy. Although the sand at the water’s edge is soft and fine, most of the rest of the beach has coarser sand and chunks of coral.

At the end of this popular beach is Pte aux Cannonniers home to the Club Med as well as a couple of well known hotels.

Mont Choisy villas and bungalows are close enough to the tourists hub of Grand Bay to be accessible on foot, by car or public transport but far enough to enjoy peace of mind and privacy sought by most visitors.

Flic en Flac Beach Mauritius

Golf enthusiasts will enjoy the excellent 18-hole course at Le Paradis Hotel at Le Morne (25 minutes by car). All beaches of Mauritius are public and not reserved by star hotels. Flic en Flac offers the best beaches with a long stretch of powder white sand, calm lagoon backed by the ubiquitous casuarinas trees.

Sanur Beach - Bali

Wonder where the beautiful beaches are in Bali? Welcome to Sanur Beach which is probably a nice pick in the area and maybe in all of Bali. Indonesia is a strange, but magical place. And in some places a tad too touristy. Expect a bit of that around Sanur Beach. It is intentional because naturally, it’s the way for the people here to make a living. Because of many things from culture to a lack of administration in places, like any place this active, you can see a side of Bali that is not as beautiful as you dreamed. But still, remember we are dealing with humans who given the circumstance you might be looking at the same options in life.

Sanur Beach in Bali, Indonesia, is one long beach - with white/off white sand. As you see, the water is calm and protected. Once home to a great reef, it is mainly gone due to erosion and Indonesia “progress”; silt and pesticide runoff from construction. So for Sanur, lot’s of nice sand, but below the surface there are many problems. We were first interested in the beaches of Bali when a user e-mailed asking why we didn’t include this beach. Unfortunately, this is one of the better beaches here. For some reason, probably corruption, these beaches do not get the treatment they deserve. There is little enforcement of the few laws Indonesia has for preservation. Feel free to comment.

One of Southeast Bali’s gems is Sanur Beach. With its small tourist population, Sanur is a very attractive. The surf is gentler than other areas of the island and the hotels are quite nice. In the past 20 years Sanur has developed into a great resort for tourists, feasting on the sights and sounds of the Indonesian countryside.

There is hardly a beach in Bali that is unappealing and Sanur is no exception. Our most breathtaking experience happens around sunrise. Sanur Beach is about 10 minutes from Denpasar (depending on traffic). After the sunrise, be sure to hire a canoe to sail along the coast with and even to the outlying islands, if you would like an extra enjoyment. Sanur just happens to be surrounded by a large coral reef so snorkeling is very much recommended for the first time visitor. As we said, however, much of the reef is dead. Fish still try to make a home here.

Sanur is a very mellow town. There is an amazing contrast constantly going on here. There are hotels upon hotels, but there are also many aspects of the old village life going on as you will see when you find a place to stay. You may choose to stay in an 11-story hotel or you may choose to stay in a Balinese type resort. Aside from the accommodations, there are also many restaurants to enjoy near the beach. Indonesia is this way. Below is one of my favorite pictures; people relaxing around one of the temples in the area.

What to visit: The Sacred Temple of Ratu Ayu of Singgi, located in the Grand Bali Beach Hotel.

Sanur Beach - Bali - BEACH INDEX:

  • Sand - Golden, about a km long
  • Facilities - All included at the nearby hotels. Plus small stands that sell various items such as chessboards.
  • Shade - mature palm trees
  • Sports - Parasailing, surfing, snorkeling, touring on glass-bottom boats, canoeing, jet-skiing, windsurfing, sailing and swimming.
  • Notes - can get crowded around major hotels.

Agia Kiriaki Beach - Milos, Greece

Agia Kiriaki Beach Milos Greece

We get a lot of requests for beaches in Greece. Photo above by Foinix. What makes this one of the most special places on earth is of course, the history, but also the color of the water that is just magnificent. It is deep and blue and looks like you could go out and scoop some of that color up with you. Fortunately for those of us who want to bring a little bit of the Grecian Islands back with us, cameras do a great job of capturing that shade of blue. And for those of you who are planning a visit, let me tell you that the pictures don’t really do justice.

It’s little wonder that Greece is considered one of the most popular travel spots on the globe. Beauty surround you. This video of the Grecian countryside will prove my point. Spectacular and ready to be explored - full of scenic beaches just for you. Let’s take a look at one of our favorites, Agia Kiriaki! We found similar landscapes in Rio, Dominican Republic, France, and Dominica. White sand, striking mountains, and blue ocean. What a recipe for wonderment.

When God’s handiwork passed through Greece, He left a spectacular contrast of magnificent colors and unique rock formations. The landscape of Milos is breathtaking, and yet, what in some places is dark and dreary, the Cyclades are stunning. Volcanic activity created rock formations that rise stoic among the azure blue seas.

And what better place than to start off our visit than at Agia Kiriaki.

Agia Kiriaki is as picturesque as can be. In fact, we found ourselves staring at the antiquity and small fishing boats, more than the beach. Don’t think the port has no personality. Goodness - it exudes old Greece in so many ways.

Take your camera. The colors are outstanding. They are inviting. This peaceful port has a quaint road that runs through it. You won’t get lost as we found the people to be open and friendly, welcoming.

Agia Kiriaki Beach is an isolated crescent of sand with pebbles. The water is so clear here, it’s like crystal blue. There aren’t many visitors, so expect hardly any company. The high season is in summer when the Beach Bar is in full swing and the place has a nice party atmosphere.

To arrive here, head toward Zefyria. You’ll see signs for Agia Kyriaki (also spelled with a “y”) - that will lead you down a rough road to the beach.

Cancun Beaches

Consider the different activities that you?ll enjoy both on and off the water to determine which of the Cancun beaches is right for you. If you know what you’re looking for, you should be able to find the beach in Cancun which can provide it for you. Cancun beaches are the most popular for travelers from all around the world. The water is clean, the beaches are seemingly endless and the town of Cancun offers plenty of activities. Travelers should be aware of changing water conditions for eastern Cancun beaches and should familiarize themselves with Cancun’s water safety flag system. Information and current water conditions should be sought on arrival.

Beach Hut, Cancun, Mexico

Cancun beaches are formed by sand of calcareous origin, accounting for its white color, its fine texture and temperature, always cool regardless of the sun’s strong rays. In Cancun, two beach zones can be distinguished: the first is located in the north of the hotel zone, facing Isla Mujeres and is protected by its location within the bay. Cancun beaches are generally divided into north and east. Northern beaches, located north of the hotel zone, are protected from large waves by Isla Mujeres eight miles offshore, making it ideal for families and those wanting to practice water sports in relatively calm water. The new sand is much coarser and somewhat darker than the powdery white original Cancun beaches.

Cancun beaches have loads in store for you apart from the sandy beaches and the beautiful azure waters; you can find many activities and even places of interest in this beautiful place. Cancun can offer you a lifestyle, which can be chosen by you as per your individual tastes and requirements. A surprising feature of Cancun beaches is that the fine white sand never gets hot even when the sun is shining directly overhead.

They have powdery, white sand, and clear, warm, turquoise water. Great for swimming or boogie boarding! Have you thought about going to somewhere where there’s a nice sandy beach, where the summer sun just beats down on your head and where the jewel toned waters will cool you down? If you’ve been thinking beach Cancun is the way for you to go then. Almost immediately after much of the sand lining the Caribbean Sea was carried away in a storm, a crew of over 200 people began restoring the beaches. However, the rebuilding didn’t stop when the beaches were restored to their original size.

So if you don’t want to return from your vacation with any visible tan lines, spend a day here in the surf and sand. All of Mexico ‘s beaches are public property, so you can use the beach of any hotel by walking through the lobby or directly onto the sand. Be especially careful on beaches fronting the open Caribbean , where the undertow can be quite strong. Sea walls and boulders prevent the sand from naturally migrating along the shore. Shoreline recession is a problem along many beaches.

Ocean Blue Punta Cana

The Ocean Blue Golf and Beach Resort at Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic will leave you planning your next vacation here. I know you’ve come to www.ThreeBestBeaches.com to check out reviews and photos and if you’ve never been to the Dominican Republic and are thinking about Ocean Blue, you’re in for a treat!

Ocean Blue Punta CanaSitting actually north of the point (Punta), in the town of Bavaro, Ocean Blue Golf & Beach Resort is lined by a couple of other resorts. In fact, from south of the point all the way north just about as far as the eye can see, there are resorts after resorts. But don’t think you’ll be bumping into people; this area is immense.

Long ago farmland, mainly for sugar cane (Cana), someone had the foresight to believe people would make the trek from La Romana and even as far west as Santo Domingo to see the stark contrast of the brilliant white beaches and the turquoise Caribbean Sea. It’s here that even though this resort faces front on with a huge ocean, there are reefs about a mile offshore that break the waves and create the havens of sun and sand we see in all the pictures of this area.

Golf? Yes! Just behind this and the other surrounding resorts are the golf courses. They are numerous and you can choose before you make your flight. All we can tell you is that as you know, golf courses are subjective - you may like one that I don’t care too much for. Just know that you will have a few to choose from and do your homework before you leave for the resort. Choose the one you would like to try and when you arrive - ask the concierge to hook you up with the links!

The rooms at this resort all look out onto the water and this is done by strategically angling the buildings to point out so when you wake and look out, you see the tranquility of yet another Dominican Republic morning at the beach. One side of this resort as you can see on the map below is called the Ocean Sand and the other, across the pool, is the Ocean Blue.

While here, expect a gentle Caribbean breeze that will keep you refreshed…and that’s not just resort talk. The tradewinds actually do cool you down and make you forget you’re in the Caribbean sun - so make sure you don’t forget your sunscreen.

This resort was planned with luxury in mind. All rooms are considered 5 Star suites. There has been some debate on whether this is rated by an outside organization or if the resort took it upon themselves to bestow that rating. Nonetheless, you will be pampered and we can practically guarantee you’ll forget you have a home elsewhere.

Let’s talk BEACH! Here at www.ThreeBestBeaches.com it only makes sense to take a look at the sand. Well Playa Bavaro as it is called is coral based and made of crushed shell - probably not super powder if you’re into that - but fine and fun to walk on. In fact, you can walk along the beach for miles and miles. Punta Cana beach front is 42 Km long!

The coastline itself has some absolutely beautiful caves located on their hillsides that are great to explore in the afternoon with the kids. And facilities are close by which makes this an amazing beach to bring the family. Remember that seasons are opposite of the Northern Hemisphere, so plan accordingly. Plage de Saleccia Corsica France

The tip of the island, known as Cap Corse, has two stunning beaches Saleccia Beach and Plage de Tamarone, but access is difficult and only for the determined. Boat trips will take you part of the way but then you’ll have to walk the rest! One of the most notable beaches of the Cap Corse, a little way from the town of the same name. It is very popular among locals and known for being a particularly safe beach and swim zone for kids and toddlers. You are in the campaign(country) and has nearness of the sea (6km beaches). Every day you can unless the 1 hour of car discover different magnificent and wild places.

It would be an advantages if there it nice lonley beach near by the end of the trip. We love bathing nude. The scenery is beautiful, the beaches clean and uncrowded and the Corsicans are friendly. The standard of food was high but uninfluenced by modern trends. June was hot, very hot, superb for a beach holiday but without the crowds. We stayed near to Cargese, actually within 2 miles of the town which was walking distance, despite the heat.

The finest beach is undoubtedly le plage de Saleccia, a spectacular sweep of soft white sand and turquoise sea, with not a building in sight. In central Corsica, the range of granite mountains which form the spine of the island afford superb scenery and magnificent views; the best way to take advantage of this beautiful inland scenery is to walk along the region?s excellent network of trails and forest tracks. From the far left of the beach (when facing the sea) a path follows the coast to the Plage de Saleccia. This walk is not signposted but the path is fairly easy to follow. Corsica is an island to the south-east of France known for its sandy beaches, mountainous terrain and favourable climate. Classified as one of the 26 regions of France, Corsica is divided into two departments, Corse-du-Sud and Haute-Corse, and has a population of over 260,000.

The beaches flooded in, and the result is the definitive list. Whatever your taste - baking or bracing, deserted or discreetly funky - you’ll find your perfect patch of sand here. Closer geographically and culturally to Italy, France’s southernmost Mediterranean outpost combines the eternal virtues of both civilisations. And that would have suited the enigmatic soul I have come in search of. A clandestine insurgency calling for independence has rumbled on for the last 50 years, mainly bombing buildings, rarely humans, and never tourists. Indigenous herbs such as thyme, basil, fennel, and rosemary and the scented brush called maquis give Corsican cuisine its distinctive flavor. Corsican specialties are charcuterie (cooked and processed pork, often fed with chestnuts), chestnut fritters (fritelli a gaju frescu) and chestnut cake (pulenta).
