Another beautiful beach in this area of New York is Main Beach in East Hampton. And you’ll find that the locals have built around it in a way that showcases the shoreline. Little environmental impact means you’ll have a long, pristine beach to walk along and surf. Main Beach has been a getaway for wealthy New Yorkers (and others who happen to know the secret) because it is off the beaten path. Because the composition of the sand is quartz, you get some nice dunes in the area along with clean, clear water.
There are numerous great condos in the area, some right down on Montones Beach, Puerto Rico. If you are the owner of a vacation condo, and would like us to link to you, please write us here at Three Best Beaches. Montones Beach in Isabela is perfect for families, but often we saw just one or two people out. The thing is, the beach is so long and nice, you just find your spot and there you are in paradise.
I tried hard to find out how Honeymoon Beach got its name, and I suppose it’s just something related to going to St. Thomas on your honeymoon and hanging out at this beach. Does anyone know for sure? Contact us here and we’ll update this entry. What you will find here is something we won’t let honeymooners keep all to themselves. This is one pristine slice of the Island that if you can, you want to get out to and simply take in. Let the locals show you a good time here and if you have the time, take them up on a few of the excursions that are run around this area. You never know who you might see out here. That’s the magic of the USVI, however we’re finding more and more that people are discovering the beaches and little islands off of the main islands here and spending more time there. This is driving some of the business away from places like Water Island here.
Love is in the air! Good reason to take one of the leisurely cruises around the Buzios peninsula and visit all of the beaches. Start early so you can get in a few beaches and some great Brazilian food. You’ll want to start at the center of town and head in either direction as there are nice beaches either way. If the boat you’re going on doesn’t serve lunch, be sure you’ll find it on one of the beaches. Ask in advance for the schedule. They don’t always run on time, but at least you’ll know if they are coming back that way.
And now for something entirely different. For those who know life off the tourist trap path, the East Coast Beaches of Los Cabos were designed for you. Full of great amenities, but not as traveled as the beaches around Cabo San Lucas, the East Coast Beaches are a delight. In fact, the culture here is entirely different, as well as the local food, from what you will find in Cabo. The reason is the terrain. With rough terrain come rough people - not in the sense that they are mean or hard to get along with. They are wonderful, but a little rough around the edges. It is harder to get here and things are a little harder to get than in other Baja California regions. And for some reason time seems to have stood still in several areas on this coast. Not complaining. I love it that way. So now it’s your turn. Come here to find the real Los Cabos. Leave a different person.
