Colombier Beach on St Barts

by Dave Jackson

St Barts has excellent beaches, very French, well developed with just a few but excellent hotels, literally hundreds of excellent villas and some good self-catering rooms and apartments. Superb restaurants, people-watching and plenty of activities. Colombier is a sweet little cove perfect for swimming, snorkeling or eating a French picnic. Private yachts and sailboats often moor here while their passengers frolic in the water. The path here has been described as treacherous. Care to jump in? Just watch.

Myrtos Best Beach

by Dave Jackson

Myrtos is a very wide beach however and the rocks would never reach the part of the beach where most people sunbathe. You should be careful though if you set your umbrella near the beach ends. When Zeus gained power, he obliged Kronos to throw the rock in the site of Agia Dynati. At ancient times, Pylaros must have been inhabitated, but remains haven’t been discovered yet. Limestone rock results in remarkable caves and caverns, some of which have become major tourist attractions.
