Cane Garden Bay Tortola

Constant trade winds along the Sir Francis Drake Channel make for ideal sailing conditions, while the secluded beaches, incredible vistas, and friendly inhabitants make the islands a wonderful place to visit. Browse the many small shops, enjoy a drink at a harbour cafe, or simply relax on the spectacular beach at Cane Garden Bay. Their friendly staff is dedicated to making your visit relaxing and enjoyable. We can arrange activities such as sailing, boat rentals, snorkeling, fishing, horse riding, tennis, rental cars, and massages. The ease of accessibility for divers visiting the islands with their own sailboat or powered charter yacht and the invention of ‘rendez-vous diving’, have made the British Virgin Islands unique in the diving world. The north coast of Tortola has some fabulous bays, such as Cane Garden Bay and Brewers Bay, which are protected by boulder-strewn barrier reefs.

Its attractions are world renown and get visitors from the furthest reaches of the globe. Cane Garden Bay hotels are known for their comfortable lodging and great services and offer accommodations for visitors of every kind. Pusser’s has a great dockside restaurant and bar that provides entertainment on some nights, and Soper’s Hole also offers other restaurants, shops and attractions that are well worth a visit. Callwood’s rum distillery in Cane Garden Bay is a visit back in time, rum is still produced here from cane grown on the local hillsides. Mount Healthy, Brewer’s Bay contains the ruins of Tortola’s only windmill and the ruins of associated distillery buildings.

Tortola’s most famous beach is popular with visitors who like to be at the centre of it all - as the beach also plays host to an array of restaurants, water sports companies, shops and bars. If you are looking for peace, tranquility and the ultimate tropical escape Cane Garden Bay in the summer months is for you. Well I am one of those cruise folks who had the opportunity to visit Cane Bay Beach. Fortunately, I was with a group who knew the island so we rented a truck for our visit on the island. Enjoy browsing and we invite you to stay with us when you visit the BVI.

If you want plenty of action and a beachfront room then this is your place. The hotel itself is old, by local standards, and has been updated periodically. The hill to the beach and store is steep; a rental car is a must on the island. Sailing and windsurfing equipment is available for rent on the beach.

If you are seeking solitude on a deserted beach then Cane Garden Bay is NOT for you, although, like all beaches on Tortola, you will still be able to find your own private spot without feeling overcrowded. The ideal beach to ‘people watch’ during the day and to party at night. Charming guest houses dot the hills and sleek resort hotels border some of the most beautiful beach expanses on the island. Beef Island (just a short bridge span away from Tortola on its eastern tip) is the site of the B.V.I.’s T. Seaside Villa junior-suites are overlooking the ocean and the beach annd Beachfront rooms are directly on the beach offering “fall-out-of-bed into the water beaching” and incredible island views. Rooms are very comfortable with air conditioning and ceiling fans.
