Cost of Living Near Ipanema Beach Rio

by Dave Jackson

Ipanema is one of the most expensive places to live in Rio. At the forefront of beach culture are the many surfers and sun worshippers who socialize daily at the beach. Although beachfront rentals are highly sought after they tend to be more expensive than the rentals that are close, but not on the beach. Many people prefer to live slightly offset from the beach because they still experience the same enjoyment of the beaches, but at a lesser cost! This is because located on the hillside next to Ipanema beach is a favela. Many of the residents of this favela make their way down to Ipanema beach and peddle their wears.

It’s wonderful Ipanema Beach is a meca for people worldwide coming to enjoy the sun, the people, warm waters of Brazil and some of the most beautiful women in the world. Ipanema beach is extremely diverse and entertaining: you can surf, play soccer, fresco ball, volleyball, buy a bikini, drink coconut water, cycle or run along the board walk. At weekends the beach gets filled by carioca who literary spend the whole day chatting and sunbathing: a flamboyant gay community stands in front of posto 8, a stream of perfectly carved bodies decorates posto 9, soap operas celebrities hide in the quieter dunes of Leblon beach and surfers battle with the strong currents of Arpoardor.

Ipanema beach is the “hippest” and most secure beach in Rio de Janeiro today. You will be where everything is “happening” in Rio de Janeiro, in Ipanema, and only three blocks away from Copacabana famous beach.

Each section is known for a certain type of people, for example, artists, gays, young people etc. The safest area is probably in front of the major hotels. Throughout the hotel, you will enjoy the legendary service which has made Caesar Park Ipanema known for its attention to detail. The Caesar Park Ipanema is located at the most fashionable district of Rio de Janeiro, facing Ipanema Beach, just walking distance from the best boutiques, restaurants and night clubs in town. The sands are full of some of the hottest bodies in the cities and at the end of the beach two hills rise known as the ‘two brothers’. The beach is marked with points known as postos.

Barra’s popularity is growing through the well-known fact that it is a very safe area. Posto 8 marks the beginning of what is considered the gay stretch of beach, which lasts up until Posto 9, which is known for the illicit smoking of marijuana. There are always circles of people playing football, volleyball, and footvolley, a combination sport unique to Brazil. What’s more, you can achieve a golden glow without any unsightly tan lines as Playa d’en Bossa is known for being a topless beach.

It is as if the mountains in the interior force human spillage out onto the sand to relieve the pressure from such a densely packed urban environment. So by noon on almost any day of the week in the Southern Hemisphere summer (December–March), there is little room to sit. I’m not talking about the obvious big staff, but little things as glassware, silverware, iron, iron board, sheets, sheet covers and more. Besides all the beautiful Ipanema can offer you, you will have at very little cost, your exclusive tourist guide.
To get around Rio de Janeiro, we recommend the public transportation system of buses and subway. It is safe and covers all beaches, shoppings and points of interest. Rio de Janeiro has a tropical climate. December to March is the warmest summer season, with temperatures ranging from 77 to 95 F (25 to 35 C). Take a look below at the current temperature in Rio.
