If you ask anyone who’s been to Santa Cruz, they’ll probably tell you it’s the Boardwalk you want to see, and the beach is just a showcase. It’s always fun and takes you back in time where you can stroll along (yes, it’s actually made of boards) and people watch, or take in the beautiful, but cool Pacific Ocean, or buy something special at one of the many shops that line the boardwalk.

Puerto Vallarta Reviewed

Puerto Vallarta is blessed with the great weather that you would expect on the Mexican Pacific coast. Spring and winter are excellent times to visit, but don’t forget to bring a jacket for the evenings. Puerto Vallarta is one of the main tourist destinies in Mexico, a paradise on the Pacific Ocean. Located in central Mexico in the state of Jalisco, Puerto Vallarta counts with a great climate all year long. Puerto Vallarta is beautiful and the Marriott there is nice. However, as others noted, it is showing it’s age.

Kihei Beaches are wonderfully located in North Central Kihei. The area offers sweeping views of Kahoolawe, Molokini and the dazzling Pacific Ocean and a friendly, casual atmosphere. Kihei Beach is one of Maui’s longest white sand beaches.

Puffy white clouds will billow by as you gaze on the contrast of the mountains and sea and probably catch a whale breaching along the many beaches here in the Kihei area. There are so many vacation specials for this area you’re going to have a nice challenge to pick the very best one. Choose many, then decide.

Christopher Columbus is given credit for discovering the Cayman Islands. On his fourth world voyage, two of his ships, the Santiago de Palos, and the Capitana, sailed past Cayman Brac and Little Cayman around May 10, 1503.

His young son, Ferdinand, wrote in his journal, “we were in sight of two small, low islands filled with tortoises - as was sea all about.” The ships didn’t stop. They couldn’t stop. Both ships were worm-eaten and leaking badly, and Columbus knew he had to make it to Jamaica after a short stop near Cuba. He put it at St. Ann’s Bay and that was the end of those two vessels.
