In the summer months, Ibiza is Europe’s premier party destination. Young people from all over the world throng discotheques staffed by brand name DJ’s, arriving between midnight and 2am and partying until well after the sun rises over the Mediterranean. With its stunning scenery, secluded beaches, fine hotels and upscale restaurants, Ibiza is a haven for those seeking to explore a Mediterranean paradise of pine trees and olive groves, of quaint old fashioned farmhouses and winding cobbled streets. Do not listen to media critics who say “Ibiza is finished” or “Its not like it was in the early Nineteys”. I was here in the early Nineteys and I can testify that Ibiza has just got better!
Ibiza is legendary for its clubs and nightlife centered around two areas: Ibiza Town, the island’s capital on the eastern shore and Sant Antoni to the West. Well-known nightclubs are Privilege (the largest club in the world), Eden (the busiest nightclub in Sant Antoni), Es Paradis (noted for its water parties), Amnesia (known for foam parties), Space (an after party club), Pacha, and DC10. With its stunning scenery, secluded beaches, fine hotels and upscale restaurants, Ibiza is a haven for those seeking to explore a Mediterranean paradise of pine trees and olive groves, of quaint old fashioned farmhouses and winding cobbled streets. The lowest recorded temperature in Ibiza is 5C (20F), the highest is 37C (100F).
Hawaii beaches have called to me throughout my life. Fishing, sailing, surfing, diving, and simple walks on the beach have been the core of my lifestyle over the last fifty years. There are many Hawaii beaches that can offer you such an utter seclusion— Papohaku Beach, Molokai is particularly a place to explore. Or if you are of adventurous type, you must visit the beaches in Kauai’s Na Pali Coast—a place that can be accessed either by ocean or hiking through a remote valley! This is the prime location and one of the best Hawaii beaches where windsurfing is concerned.
Yikes, Ocean Drive in South Beach has never looked more beautiful. Come 5 PM, the restaurants are already starting to fill and party goers in this Miami mecca are eying parking spots near lounges that line Collins Avenue, Ocean Court, and Ocean Drive. The prime location is Ocean Drive, as you can see the Atlantic on the other side of the street. But the night is young, and you can walk a block to visit other clubs here in South Beach. Around 10 PM the mood changes as serious party goers arrive to dance the night away. Parking is a premium and valets are making more than the average banker. Welcome to South Beach in Prime Time!

I remember hearing an interview with David Gates of Bread who said that Kaanapali Beach was his favorite place in Hawaii. We had to go here and see what all the interest was. The pictures, as they say, don’t do justice, and you can come here a dozen times and see something new. Kaanapali is truly magical - from ancient Hawaii ways to the new found visitors and residents that have decided to make Hawaii their home. And who wouldn’t want to move here? The weather is almost perfect, and there is so much beach and in so many hues, it is amazing that more isn’t written about this area of Maui. The major resort hotels have been here a while and know how to help you experience and wonderful stay on this island. Ask them about any area you want to see or explore.
