Ibiza is legendary for its clubs and nightlife centered around two areas: Ibiza Town, the island’s capital on the eastern shore and Sant Antoni to the West. Well-known nightclubs are Privilege (the largest club in the world), Eden (the busiest nightclub in Sant Antoni), Es Paradis (noted for its water parties), Amnesia (known for foam parties), Space (an after party club), Pacha, and DC10. With its stunning scenery, secluded beaches, fine hotels and upscale restaurants, Ibiza is a haven for those seeking to explore a Mediterranean paradise of pine trees and olive groves, of quaint old fashioned farmhouses and winding cobbled streets. The lowest recorded temperature in Ibiza is 5C (20F), the highest is 37C (100F).
But note: Ibiza is a long established resort and much of the islands accommodation was built in the 70′s. A monument (“The Egg” ) erected in honor of Christopher Columbus can be found in Sant Antoni: Ibiza is one of several places purporting to be his birthplace. If you are already in Spain, then the most cost effective way to get to Ibiza is from Barcelona or Valencia.
In the winter Ibiza is a quiet city. In the summer it is a bustling place where adventurers, artists, families and other people meet one another just to relax and others for diversion and fun. Ibiza is made up of a historical mixture of cultures throughout the ages. This eclectic mix of cultures can be seen in the beautiful architecture, food, song and dance.
Ibiza is now suited to a more up-market clientele who love Ibiza but want more from their holiday. This is all good news for Ibiza but booking the flight yourself is the easy part. Ibiza is steeped in history, having been invaded by many different civilizations, each leaving their mark. The ‘real Ibiza’ is the land of farmers and fishermen and some of the most beautiful areas, off the beaten track.
But Ibiza is the clubbing capital of the world and renowned as the world’s sexiest party island. Located in the Balearic Islands off the coast of Spain it’s a place where daytime beach activities are only a prelude to all night partying, which usually finishes on the beach the following morning. Most of these clubs have hefty entry fees and the drinks will be extremely expensive.
