We do have to mention everyone, hopefully I don’t forget anyone; First of all there was Altagracia, Shorty, who took care of our every need on the beach or pool. Everyone is friendly, and wanted to make our stay excellent. I would have liked a little more organization around the excursions, or hotel sponsored events.
The bride and groom can say “I do” on the beach or in a shaded seaside gazebo, with a reception following on an ocean-view terrace. The resort offers moonlit horseback rides on the beach, live stage shows featuring Latin American dance and music, and a casino. The resort provides the perfect playground with two giant pools including swim-up bars and poolside meals under palapas. After the ceremony, the bride and groom will be given a document that confirms the wedding took place. A Marriage Certificate must be requested from the local Justice of the Peace and will usually be ready a day or two after the ceremony.
Day tours can be arranged into Santo Domingo but be prepared for a long ride and a fast trip. If you really want to see Santo Domingo, take an extra couple of days before or after your visit to Secrets Excellence so you won’t be so stressed out from cramming and touring. The new Melia Caribe/Tropical is a new all-inclusive five-star resort nestled in an oasis of swaying palms and lush vegetation of famed Bavaro Beach. At this tranquil resort, one price covers everything. Dining – Punta Cana has a great variety of restaurants , in the all-inclusive resorts and in the region. You’ll find menus offering great steaks, fresh seafood (caught daily fresh!), 4-star restaurants that compete in service and food with those in US top cities.
This was their honeymoon and it was the first all-inclusive my wife or I had ever been to. Overall, it was a great experience from beginning to end.
