Here are some comments regarding the Ocean Blue Golf & Beach Resort at Punta Cana, in the Dominican Republic:
Wow! What an awesome vacation! The night life is awesome. There is always something, beach party or karaoke. The beach is clean and awesome. There is a bar and a buffet restaurant on beach.
The resort is one of the most popular in the Caribbean, since thousands of visitors every year make the trip to the resort to enjoy the exceptional amenities that the hotel has to offer. The resort offers both ocean and pool-view rooms, and the resort’s beach has been consistently rated as one of the best in the world. Numerous bars and restaurant also offers various snacks such as hot dogs, pizzas, hamburgers and sandwiches from 10am to 6am. The Hotel consists of two parts, the Ocean Sand and the Ocean Blue, the two parts are directly opposite and only separated by the pool. All facilities of the resort can be used from all guests of both hotels.
With the grace of the palm trees dancing to the rhythm of the breeze and the elegance of the waves caressing the white sand, emerges Ocean Blue Golf and Beach Resort. Enjoy the luxury of a resort where all rooms are five star suites, specially designed to make your dreams of an exuberant Caribbean vacation come true. The water is different shades of blue and the sand is fine, but not as powdery as the beaches we’ve been in Thailand or the Philippines. Unlike in Mexico, you can walk the entire stretch of this beautiful beach for hours (42 km). Moguls, 21 pot bunkers and palms guard the left and sand is prominent. Dye jokingly refers to this area as “hecklebirnie”, a type of golfer’s purgatory, according to Scottish lore.
This hotel is located directly beside fine, white sandy Playa Bavaro surrounded by the lush vegetation gardens and endless palm trees. Only 35 minutes from Punta Cana international airport, 90 minutes from La Romana international airport and 3 1/2 from Santo Domingo international airport. This comprehensive resort, overlooking the sea and offering spectacular views of the Caribbean, boasts a magnificent beach with white sand and crystalline waters. All rooms have full baths and include exclusive services for all guests. Right on the ocean with great beaches, surrounded by tropical palm trees, close to the White Sands golf course, the Ocean Blue is a great resort. This resort is offers 374 beautifully decorated and completely equipped air conditioned Suites, divided in the following categories: 296 Junior Suites, 72 Junior Deluxe Suites, and 6 Honeymoon Suites.
Guests pay special reduced rates at the White Sands Golf Course; the resort itself has a bowling alley and casino. Service everywhere is prompt and friendly, yet there are some lapses, mainly attributable to linguistic misunderstandings. Punta Cana is in the easternmost tip of the Dominican Republic and offers white sand beaches. Punta Cana’s Manati Park offers swimming with dolphins and shows featuring horses, parrots and sea lions. This property is located just 35 minutes drive from Punta Cana airport and a few steps away from the White Sands golf course. This par 72 course opened with 9 holes but when completed will offer a challenging 18.
The beach is nice clean and sandy, they don’t skimp on the quality of the food or liquor. There is lots to do,the guests are a very interesting mix of Europeans, Canadians and the rest of the American continent. The resort offers an All Inclusive stay, with Premium Beverages in all bars and wine served with meals. We felt so secluded & private even though the resort was fully booked. We would head to the pool around 4pm & swim, usually relax in our room for a couple of hours & head out for dinner & the coffee bar which is great, they have so many fresh made deserts, specialty coffees & teas, even organic teas & iced coffees.
Service is good, food - due to big buffet and a number of a la carte restaurants is various and good as well. Two big pools - if you don’t like wind from the ocean. When looking for the right resort for you make sure to take a look at the types of restaurants offered at each of the Punta Cana resorts you’re considering. On an all-inclusive holiday you’ll mainly be eating at the resort, if not always, so you’ll want to make sure there are different cuisines you enjoy. The property has a nice lay-out and easy access to pool and beach, restaurants, entertainment, all on hotel grounds. The property is nestled right on the beach.
