Gulf Oil Spill Update - Tar Balls in Pensacola

by svitorini

BP has 11 clean up crews now in Pensacola, Florida, after tar balls were reported on the beach in the coastal town. The containment cap is sort of working, says BP and they are proceeding with the other efforts in drilling relief wells and the ongoing surface cleanup. Meanwhile birds and other animals in Louisiana have been dying covered in crude oil.

This video is from the Associate Press and contains information about the tar balls in Pensacola.

Officials in Pensacola want to reiterate that the beaches there are open and that the tar balls are minor.
