Porto Pollo is a small spot on a bay on the north coast of Sardinia, a short drive from our main accommodation offers some of the best windsurfing that the island has to offer. A huge bay offfers plenty of space for beginners and experienced alike.
A lot of other spots are to be discover by your own . This long stretch of sand runs along of the charming town of Ile Rousse, making it a great spot to spend the day. Several restaurants some of which also rent sun lounges and umbrellas back the main beach. A more secluded spot is plage du Monachi , 1km south of the village; this small, sandy cove is reached by climbing down the track at the side of the road past the little chapel on the cliffside.
It is a great spot for teenagers. Young people from all over Europe hang out here. And if the westerly winds should fail, we have some alternative spots within reach of 1 hour drive (Porto Liscia, Coluccia, Valledoria, Murta Maria) where we can make the contest with any other possible wind direction. Format The event is a stand alone contest 100 focused on young riders.
The Museum of Corsican Ethnography is located in the Citadel, and holds many items in connection with the history and culture of the beautiful island. The clear waters surrounding the island make holidays on Corsica ideal for snorkeling and sailing and there are intriguing dive sites for experienced scuba enthusiasts whilst beginners are also catered for. Calvia, Algajola, Propriano and Santa Giulia make excellent bases for water sports, with windsurfing being especially popular.
It hovers on the cliffs of a limestone peninsula above a natural harbour on the site of a 9th century citadel. Many of the tall sturdy houses are found along cobbled streets in a spectacular setting along the top of the cliffs. With its coastline bordered by red granite cliffs that plunge into a sea of intense blue, the Gulf of Porto is well deserving of its classification by UNESCO as a “world heritage site”. It is a wonderful display of nature at its finest. Try the four-star hotel Demeure Les Mouettes in Ajaccio, the great camping sites of the east coast or if you want to splash the cash you can rent a villa on the island. Note that villa prices will depend on how many you have with you.
A great favourite with families San Lucianu has plenty of space for children to enjoy themselves, and a packed programme of activities to keep them busy. The seas are ideal for swimming, snorkeling, sailing and windsurfing. If you like walking then the island has everything from easy strolls to challenging mountain treks.
