Waikiki is where the East meets the West, thus offering legendary beauty and a unique charm of its own. It boasts more than 30,000 hotel rooms; close to 1000 restaurants, bars and clubs. Ingrid’s Luana Waikiki is a gorgeous 1 bedroom condo located at the gateway of Waikiki. The condo is located on the mezzanine level of the Outrigger Luana Waikiki Hotel and offers front row views of the active Kalakaua Avenue. Waikiki is currently undergoing a dramatic renaissance, a transformation that is brimming with beauty, charm, and a renewed Hawaiian sense-of-place making Waikiki the most sought after cosmopolitan beachfront cityscape. Traditionally, Waikiki was a place of healing and today, it is the foremost urban island-resort destinations in the world boasting a sophisticated palette of dining, retail, entertainment and recreational activities, truly a gathering place where the world emerges to celebrate and savor life.

Just about every square centimeter of Waikiki is built up with some kind of high rise hotel or shop. It’s best explored on foot; you can ride “The Bus” back to your hotel if you or your feet get tired. Most locals insist that the best place to enjoy Waikiki is the Kapiolani Park edge of it which is where you’ll find Waikiki Grand Hotel. Waikiki is filled with high rise hotels and is a shopper’s dream, besides having world renowned Waikiki Beach looking at Diamond Head, the most recognizable landmark in Hawaii. Oahu is the home of Pearl Harbor, the most popular attraction on the island, and the historical location of the day in infamy when Japan invaded Pearl Harbor in 1941 and brought the United States into WWII.

Waikiki is also home to some of Hawaii’s best shopping, finest restaurants and hottest nightspots. This open air market features more than 140 shops, delicious dining and food kiosks. Waikiki is, however, not just a beach. It is also a city whose large number of tourists make it one of the world’s most densely populated. Southeast of downtown, Waikiki is the epicentre of all things touristy: all the big resorts are found here. All of these sites are within the boundaries of greater Honolulu.

Waikiki is the top visitor destination in Hawaii. Ninety percent of all of the hotels on O’ahu are located along this shore. The Sheraton Waikiki is situated on one of the world’s most popular beaches, where guests will surely wish to sunbathe and engage in water activities. This particular free movie event in Waikiki is called “Sunset on the Beach” .

Waikiki is just only a few miles away from Honolulu. It is the primary destination for millions of tourists who come from around the world to Hawaii paradise.

Visitors can stroll along a new and improved Kuhio Beach and find wider beach expanses and extensive services, and meander along the historic Waikiki walking trail. With Waikiki leading the way, O’ahu maintains its status as an exciting destination, with more things to see, more places to eat, and more things to do than on all the other Hawaiian Islands combined.
